クパチーノ市で開催された桜祭りにおいて、今年度も小原社中にて、茶道のデモンストレーションを行いました。

Robiraki 2012 炉開

2012年の炉開きの茶会では、花月を行いました。

Robiraki tea ceremony was held on first Sunday of November. We did Kagetsu.

　茶道裏千家淡交会サンフランシスコ協会の立ち上げ、約６０年にわたり同協会の活動に従事し、当地における対日理解増進や日米文化交流に貢献、現在も裏千家の活動を通じて茶道の普及に努めた功績により、表彰されました。
”Mrs. Kazuko Kobara, as a member of Urasenke Tankokai San Francisco Association, has been actively promoting the genuine atmosphere of the Japanese tea ceremony to people in the United States. Due to her great efforts over the last 60 years, the Urasenke Tankokai San Francisco Association was able to become well established and the popularity of Chado spread throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. ”

Holiday Tea at Asian Art Museum 除夜釜

　サンフランシスコのアジア美術館にて、恒例のHoliday Tea（除夜釜）が催されました。

美術館内3ヶ所で、裏千家と表千家によるデモンストレーションが行われ、宗香会でも1席を担当しました。参観者には、お菓子と薄茶が振る舞われました。

　To celebrate the end of the year, Holiday Tea Demonstration and Testing is held at Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. In three locations inside of the museum, tea rooms were set and both Urasenke and Omotesenke performed tea ceremony demonstration. Sokokai performed for Urasenke.  Japanese sweets and thin tea were served to the audience.
