2020 Cherry Blossom Festival サンフランシスコ・クパチーノ桜祭り2020

Due to the Shelter-in-Place Order by COVID-19 concerns, this year's Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival has been canceled. It is very sad that the Cherry Blossom Festival, which we have always done to introduce the Urasenke Tea Ceremony to the local community, will not be held.
We hope that all of you can stay healthy and get back to our daily lives as soon as possible.

2020年のクパチーノ桜祭りはCOVIDD-19、コロナウイルスの影響で中止となりました。私たちがいつも裏千家茶道の紹介の活動を行ってきた桜祭りが実施されないのは、とても寂しく残念なことです。
皆様のご健康と、私たちが1日も早く日常の生活が取り戻せることを願っています。

2020 Tatezomeshiki 淡交会SF支部 点初式

Chado Urasenke Tankokai San Francisco Association celebrated the Tatezomeshiki and luncheon 2020.
Tatezomeshiki was held by Kobara shachyu this year. It was the first ohatsugama in Reiwa. This year's Hatugamaha featured the theme of plums after the waka collection of plum blossoms in Manyoshu, the Japanese oldest waka collection. All members worked hard for each guest.
裏千家淡交会サンフランシスコ支部の点初式が行われました。元号が令和になって初めての御初釜を、小原社中が担当しました。令和の由来となった万葉集の「梅花の歌三十二首併せて序」にちなみ、梅をテーマとしました。会員の皆様の素晴らしいチームワークで、お客様一人一人を大切におもてなしすることができました。

米寿 Mrs. Kobara’s 88th Birthday

We celebrated Kobara sensei's beijyu. It was a wonderful evening.

Hatsugama 2020 令和二年御初釜

We all celebrated hatsugama. This year, two grandchildren of Kobara sensei joined hatsugama. Mrs. Yoshikawa received the tea name, and everyone was delighted in New Year.
